yesterday when i was at a restaurant, there was a spice i never saw before. it was on my spaghetti. i asked the waiter lady what kind of spice has little wings and legs. she said 'oh yuck' and then took my plate away from me. then she came back and said i dont have to pay for my spaghetti. that was nice. but i still dont know what kind of spice it was. |

um, hi. its raining and thats good because joy comes in the morning.
i wish we could love people like God does. he never points fingers and says 'YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!!!' he just loves people and loves them and loves them and loves them and loves them. and sometimes its so much that a person says 'whoa God! thats too much!' and then God backs off a smidge and the next day the person sees that God did some nice things in them because they aren't as angry or scared or stuff like that. its Gods goodness that makes us want to know him. God doesn't do bad things to us so we will say 'uncle! i give up!' but its his goodness that draws us. he's very patient. he will wait as long as he can for you. dont take advantage of his goodness.
And so God doesn't condemn us. thats what the devil does. the devil does bad stuff but everything good comes from God. Even God turns the bad stuff into good somehow. Jesus came to earth to save us not to condemn us. so if he doesn't condemn us, why do we condemn ourself? and why do we condemn other people? thats the devils job. dont do the devils job. hes bad and God is good. all God wants to do is love you and save you. never condemn you. I'm serious! do you know that? God never condemns. our sin condemns us. not God. God loves. God saves. God is GOOD. not BAD. ok? ok!
And you can say yes to God. you can do that right now. just say yes to God. and don't run away anymore. he's not even chasing you. he's just everywhere you run because he's just so big. and its ok. because he loves you. |

do you know what? we had the derry's big heart toy drive fundraiser last saturday and we sold toys that people gave us and we made some money to send to kids in uganda! that is so exciting and some people gave extra money too. i was so happy. even though it rained and was a cold day. so we still have lots of toys left and will have a garage sale and sell the rest of the toys later in may. these kids in uganda are going to be glad. thank you to all the people who came to the toy sale! and to the people who gave extra money! i am thankful the millionest. love derry. |

oh hi its me again. wonderful is the word for God. he even does things like make people who are dead come alive. and he even can make an arm grow if someone lost an arm. he has lots of spare parts in heaven. he does that if we believe it. because he loves us. i know jesus used to do all that when he was a man on earth. and now that he's in heaven, people think he forgot how to do all those miracles. but i think maybe people forgot that God never changes. and maybe people forgot how to believe in God. and maybe we forgot that he still means what he says. but God never forgets. remember? he's God. |

well if God takes care of birdies and flowers then he will take care of me too. and he even said that. he said if i seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, all the things i need will be taken care of. so today i am going to say sorry to someone for something that happened 8 years ago. they probly forgot. but God remembers. and he wants me to do things His way. and then i am going to ask God what to do next. and i will wait and see what God does. he loves me and he loves everyone. and stuff he says is true. you can count on it. |

i heard a song that sang 'God is bigger than the boogeyman'. even he's bigger than the biggest boogeyman. boogeymans are scary to us, but God is scarey to boogeymans. and i know God is soooo big, like bigger than the whole universe and know what else? he's still small enough to fit in my heart. and he's still big enough that i can fit in his heart. That is too amazing and i dont know how that works, but its ok. i guess things still work even if i dont know how they work. so if God is in my heart and the boogeyman is scared of God, then i dont have to be scared of the boogeyman. he will be scared of me instead. but not me. but God. haha! those dumb boogeymans! i will tell them to go away because Jesus is my big brother and God is my daddy. ok bye love derry |

my name is derry and i? i'm a teddy bear that wants to get lots of kids and their moms and dads to help orphans in uganda. i have a charity called 'derry's big heart'. its named after my big heart. and my heart is full of love for all the people in the world. and its specially full of love for God becuz God keeps filling me with barrel fulls of love all the time.
so that's who i am. and i? i'm also a cartoon teddy bear in a comic strip called commander broccoli. commander broccoli is my friend and he wants to save the world too. and he is not a vegetable but he is a rabbit who eats vegetables. and we are friends with marty the owl and hortensio the ape. you can see my comic and read about 'derry's big heart' at my website

and you can buy art and stuff too. and the stuff you buy? some of it goes to help those kids. like, a quarter of it does. that's 25%.

oh Jesus is celebrating that he's alive again! its easter soon. if you go east you will find jerusalem. like you have to keep going easter and easter until you get there. and Jesus was in jerusalem. lots of his favourite people are there. they are jews. i think jew is short for jewel. because the jews are jewels that God likes to wear. well i think so anyway. i celebrate christmas, when Jesus was born, and easter, when Jesus died and won a war with death and sin for us so we could really live... but jewel people they get to celebrate all kinds of things. like passover, and booths and trumpets and lots of things. and those things are all about jesus too. like the passover is a lamb for a house. and jesus is the lamb of God for us. i wish i could learn all about jewish stuff. its very lots and so wow. but i dont know any jews who celebrate all that stuff. ok bye love derry. |

oh hi! its so nice to type to you. i am glad you are there. things are happening with 'Derry's Big Heart' and we are having meetings still and the toy drive is coming up soon. and soon we will have money to help those kids! i want to hurry and help them. its also so sad how we can so easily forget about our brothers and sisters on the other side of the world. if i was very hungry all the time, i would always remember. i'm sorry to them that i forget sometimes.
